Olivia loses her first pet. She's devastated. Tina the hamster will be sorely missed.
Her other pets demand her attention before long. Olivia's in a sad mood as she cleans up after them.
People from work call Evan quite often for updates on the technology they've sent him. He usually replies right away, but not when he's caring for Lincoln.
Olivia gets a call from one of the various pet owners she's been helping. They want to know if she does computer repair too. Not one to turn down easy money, Olivia takes a whack at it.
The backlight is broken. Probably some overly-curious kid pried open the screen and closed it again, afraid of getting caught.
Kipper whines sadly. No one's played with him all day...
He thinks Olivia is his favourite human. She always gives him attnetion.
Evan plays with his sprite, another strange prototype his superiors want him to try.
"Don't be jealous Kipper, that thing's not cuddly like you," she coos to the dog.
The couple dines on leftover birthday cake.
"You know, we should really get our own computer," Olivia says, looking at the laptop she's just fixed. She could advertise her little animal rescue online, get better business!
While she argues her case, Kipper finds some crumbs from Olivia and Evan's cake.
Yum!
"Hmm you're right," Evan agrees, "We have all the other latest technology, anyways..."
Autumn changes to winter, seemingly over night.
Kipper delights in sticking his head into the snow. It's been a long time since his last winter...
Lincoln grows quickly and becomes more fussy as a toddler. Like his father, Lincoln isn't a werewolf. Olivia isn't sure to whether to be grateful that she doesn't have to deal with him scratching furniture and howling at the moon, or disappointed that she'll be the only werewolf in the house.
"Mmm, smells good," Vincent is drawn into the living room by the smell of baking pie.
"Any plans, dad?"
It's just an innocuous sentence, but it gives Evan pause. The sentence he always wanted to ask his own parents without walking on eggshells...
He's done well.
Evan and Olivia take turns teaching Lincoln his basic skills. Evan handles speaking.
"I baked a pie! Say bake!"
Lincoln is not as responsive as Vincent was at this age. He only gives his parents this...skeptical look.
What is Olivia doing, you might be wondering?
Why, looking for lost animals of course! It's difficult in the snow, so Olivia is mostly relying on her sense of smell. Even in her human form, her senses are enhanced.
She gets a call from a relieved pet owner, happy to be reunited with his iguana.
"Aw, Kipper, is this for me? Such a good boy," Olivia thanks Kipper for bringing in the paper, even though she doesn't read it.
Olivia gets dressed after putting Lincoln to bed.
"I'll be out for a few hours, check in on your brother in an hour, alright?" she says to Vincent as she leaves.
Vincent always looks so miserable doing his homework, poor kid.
(AN: I finally got around to replacing the door!)
Kipper runs out after her, howling. He knows from smell that Olivia's a werewolf, and often howls after her.
Evan is home not long after Olivia leaves. It's not even 6, but the sun has already set.
"What's with that outfit?" Vincent is critical of Evan's uniform, "It's very... Enterprise-D civilian."
"I got a promotion!" Evan ignores the barb about his clothing, "I chart stars now."
"Just one step closer to making Star Trek a reality, huh?" Vincent jokes. He touches his brother's shoulder. "I'm happy for you. Congratulations."
Olivia and Evan have their first moment of true alone time since....well, Lincoln was born.
Evan takes the opportunity to talk about the wedding. "My heart is saying a big fancy venue, flowers in our favourite colours, a professional DJ....but my wallet says something smaller."
Olivia nods. "I wouldn't want to spend too much money on a wedding, anyways. That money could go to something much more practical, like a larger bedroom for Lincoln."
"You're always so practical," he replies, holding her closer.
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Normally I would say no! But...our wedding, Olivia. The testament to our love!"
"Well, maybe I prefer to keep that testament that more...private." She slips out of her shirt.
Evan finds her testament of love very...moving.

The next morning, Olivia takes on the task of bathing Kipper.
Maybe it's because he's old, but he's very cooperative.
It's the weekend, which means fitting in all the toddler skills they can for Lincoln.
...and last minute homework for Vincent.
Because tonight is prom!
After taking some photos (and embarrassing Vincent by wearing another "weird sci fi outfit" in front of his friends), Vincent sprints to the limo waiting for him.
"Remember our own prom?" Evan asks, wistful.
"Of course."
"That night is when I realised I was in love with you."
Olivia kisses him on the cheek. "You're very sweet."
Vincent doesn't find true love, but he has a good time regardless. Too bad they didn't have any food.
***
Early the next day, Vincent finds himself donning formal wear a second time.
His parents are getting married!
Felix looks around skeptically. Olivia said her wedding was going to be low-budget, but... the cannery? Really?
Olivia doesn't even bother putting on a dress.
"Dad! Thanks for coming."
Felix hugs his daughter. "Of course, not every day your kid gets married."
Awww.
The one thing they do spend a lot of money on is the wedding cake. Evan wants at least one fancy thing, damn it!
As guests help themselves to cake, Evan notices one guest he didn't expect.
"Hi dad," he greets Calvin coolly. Ever since he ripped up Calvin's postcard from France, the two have not spoke.
Calvin grunts, then turns his attention back to Felix.
"So you were saying something about how I'm gonna die soon," Calvin grumbles.
Felix backpedals, "Well...it's just that...I didn't expect you to look so-"
"Decrepit?"
"...older, than the last time you were in town." Being a werewolf has one little known advantage- a longer life. It's not as extreme as vampires, genies, or fairies, but werewolves live about 1.5 times longer than human sims. Felix still looks young and spry, despite only being a few years younger than Calvin.
"I see you added on to the house," Calvin says, surly.
"Well, lovely chatting with you, dad. Tell Natasha I say 'leave me alone' as well."
Calvin scowls. "We're not together anymore. That's...why I came back."
Felix busies himself with eating his slice of cake.
"Oh, wow, shocker. Here to beg for forgiveness, after all this time?"
Calvin stays silent, but still frowns. This isn't going like he expected.
"Figures. Goodbye."
Evan gathers Olivia, Vincent, and Felix up for a snowball fight. Sure it's not a "traditional" wedding activity, but it sure is fun!
"Bet you're too chicken to lob one at me," Vincent taunts.
Felix, instead, chooses a more...diplomatic route.
"End this now, Olivia. If anything happens to your mother, I'm the next pack leader. Don't you want to make a good impression?"
"Nope!" Olivia hurls a snowball.
"Whoa, easy there," Felix barely dodges it. "Any chance I can appeal to our father-daughter bond?"
A snowball to the gut answers that question.
After a fun afternoon of cake, snowball fights, and dancing, the family heads home.
Olivia takes a moment to hang up the photo they all took together...
Then celebrates her marriage.
-----------------------------------------------------
AN: That was actually two separate days, but I decided to combine them into one wedding for ease. Calvin really did attend the wedding and spent most of it sitting and not talking to anyone. Figures. Naomi didn't come.
